The Palms Thirroul
The entire house was stripped back and reconfigured to work seamlessly around the new inground concrete pool and entertaining areas, this four-bedroom home emphasises a connection between indoors and outdoors and takes advantage of its northerly orientation to maximise solar access.
The Vision
The Palm Springs style inspired this circa 70’s house!!
Geoff and Kaye wanted a low maintenance home that the primary focus was on entertaining, a three-car garage for his vintage car and enough space for their friends and kids to stay when visiting.
The Problem
Kaye & Geoff were previously living on acreage, so they never had the problem of urban living and neighbours being so immediate to them, however they were ready to swap the trees and space for the cafes and beaches, however still having the feel of privacy was important to them. they had built before and learned from their previous experiences and knew what exactly they wanted this time round.
Geoff was very direct and they had interviewed several builders and they knew what they wanted in a builder and after the first meeting their mind was decided that we were the right fit to bring their dream to reality.
The Process
They had their home designed by a local architect; they had a list of requirements that had to be included within their budget.
Geoff and Kaye were highly involved in the project, Kaye was often meeting with the interior designer to run her ideas past them. The colours throughout the home were thoughtfully selected. Geoff’s baby was the garage extension and the pool, by careful planning they were able to get a three-car garage to the front of the house and the pool centrally located which the house neatly wrapped around allowing views to the outdoor pool area from all aspects in the home. We hosted weekly meetings onsite with our clients and the architect to discuss progress and any changes to the design to keep budget on track.
The Result
"CKS Projects recently completed a major home renovation for us. The project was extensive and challenging as it included gutting the original 1970s house, demolishing most of the internal walls and reconfiguring the floor plan to suit our needs. We made changes as the job progressed and Keiron worked with us and the architect with positivity at all times. Keiron and his team were professional, great to work with and the quality of their work top shelf. Very happy with the result"
